Filter Out Complex Contaminants & Impurities for Great Tasting Water

Water Purification Systems Union NJ | The Jayson Company - homeThe chemicals and other contaminants that end up in our water supply can be highly complex and hard to treat. Decades of household, farm and industrial waste, including solvents, pesticides and herbicides do not just disappear; they dissolve into our water. There is no such thing as “new water,” all the water we use, including bottled water, has been used, filtered and reused since the beginning of time.

Does Your Water Really Need to be Purified?

Municipal water treatment meets certain standards, but there are many limitations and other chemicals, such as chlorine, are added to neutralize the most harmful contaminants. Private wells produce water that is even more at risk for contamination and needs regular testing according to New Jersey state laws. Bottled water is not even a real alternative because it's extremely expensive and no cleaner than most tap water.

Drink Pure Water Every Day.

Today, everyone is concerned about having healthy water that tastes great anytime. Water pitcher filtration systems are commonplace in homes and businesses. The water coolers that once were found only in offices are now turning up in many homes as well. Plastic water bottles remain incredibly popular, despite causing serious disposal issues in landfills and waterways. However, did you know that buying pitcher filter systems or bottled water does not guarantee healthy or even good tasting water? A reverse osmosis system from Jayson gets your water cleaner so it tastes better and is better for you.

How Much Waste is your Bottled Water Habit Causing?

How much do you contribute to the crisis each day? Plastic water bottles produce up to 1.5 million tons of waste each year. Microscopic amounts get recycled. Over 80 percent of plastic water bottles end up in landfills, in our waterways and ultimately, in the ocean where the mass of plastic grows larger every day. Since each water bottle takes over 1,000 years to biodegrade, at this rate, they will never go away. Additionally, bottled water is usually the same quality (or worse) than tap water and costs about 100x more. The only way to solve this problem is to stop adding to it. A Jayson bottleless water cooler or reverse osmosis system produces ZERO plastic water bottle waste.

Reverse Osmosis Water Purification = Great Tasting Water.

The Reverse Osmosis Method (RO) of water purification uses a membrane with microscopic pores that allows only tiny pressurized water molecules to pass through. A reverse osmosis system from the Jayson Company is one of the best ways to get purified, delicious water for your family.

Drinking Water Filtration or Drinking Water Purification?

Water Purification Systems Union NJ | The Jayson Company - iStock_000071116549_SmallThere is a difference. Basic water filtration simply strains out impurities from your water source. The smaller the impurity particulate in your water, the more difficult it is to remove it. Water purification provides much more refined straining of impurities. Chlorination of drinking water was introduced in New Jersey over 100 years ago and is now used to treat water supplies throughout the United States. Chlorination eliminates water-borne disease-causing bacteria.

Your water quality is now further compromised from industrial and agricultural wastes, and must be further filtered to remove disease-bearing pathogens, metals, pesticides, other chemicals, and industrial sludge to name just a few contaminants. There are so many contaminants that it is virtually impossible for municipal systems to provide water filtration that is completely effective.

Water Pitcher Filters: Inadequate Purification and Limited Water Supply.

Water pitcher filters are another popular product for improving water quality and taste. While they can be useful, they hold a very limited amount of water and many people find them annoying to refill and store. Unlike our water filtration systems, water filter pitchers only remove certain contaminants.

One user of water purification equipment states: “I found the whole pitcher thing to be an expensive and unnecessary pain. So I ended up buying an under-the-sink two-stage sediment granulated activated charcoal filter and never looked back. It's quite a bit cheaper over time compared to a pitcher type filter; the filters hardly ever need to be replaced and you only need to open the little tap to have instant filtered water with no waiting for it to percolate into a pitcher.”

Perchlorate: The Chemical in Rocket Fuel, Explosives, and... Your Water.

The presence of perchlorate salts in wells and drinking water sources has been linked to hormonal balances. Perchlorate impedes human reproduction and significant childhood development. According to the EPA, "Perchlorate is both a naturally-occurring and man-made chemical that is used to produce rocket fuel, fireworks, flares and explosives. Perchlorate can also be present in bleach and some fertilizers. Perchlorate may have adverse health effects because scientific research indicates that this contaminant can disrupt the thyroid’s ability to produce hormones needed for normal growth and development."

Jayson has worked diligently with the New Jersey DEP in the development, implementation, and specification of a system which adequately addresses Perchlorate in water. The Jayson Company is the only water treatment company in New Jersey documented to have successfully treated Perchlorate in domestic well water supplies. We have maintained contracts for Perchlorate removal from both the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJ DEP) and the US Department of Environmental Protection (US DEP).
